Everything a vault should do. Nothing it shouldn’t.

Most photo vaults hide files behind a PIN. Hushbox encrypts them with AES-256 before they are stored, so a copy of your phone’s storage reveals nothing.

🔐

Real encryption

AES-256-GCM on your device. File names, dates and thumbnails are encrypted too.

🖼️

Original quality

Photos and videos are stored exactly as they were. No hidden compression.

🧹

Clean up Photos

After the vault copy is verified, remove the originals from your library in one tap.

📷

Secret camera

Shoot photos and videos straight into the vault. Nothing touches your camera roll.

🕵️

Intruder photo

After wrong passcodes, the front camera quietly takes one photo — readable only by you.

🎭

Decoy passcode

A second passcode opens a separate, harmless vault.

📤

Free export, always

Take everything out to Files with original names and dates. Your files are never hostage.

🔑

Recovery key

Forgot your passcode? A recovery key — that only you have — gets you back in.

Questions

Can you see my photos?

No. They are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your passcode, and nothing is sent to us.

What if I forget my passcode?

Use the recovery key you saved when you created your vault. Without both, no one can open the vault — that is the point.

Is Apple’s Hidden album not enough?

The Hidden album opens with your phone’s passcode or Face ID, so anyone who can unlock your phone can open it. Hushbox has its own passcode, its own encryption layer, and decoy and intruder features.
